What is HealthSpark?
HealthSpark connects Medicare patients with physical therapists who treat them at home. We're a physical therapy group with our own network of licensed physical therapists, and we provide the infrastructure they use to run their practices: scheduling, notes, billing, and insurance.
Is this the same as home health?
No. We provide outpatient physical therapy in your home, covered by Medicare Part B. Home health is a separate Medicare benefit for people who are homebound, usually with nursing and other services. You don't need to be homebound to see us.
Do you take insurance?
Yes. In-home visits are covered by Medicare Part B, and we accept most Medicare supplement and secondary plans. We're also in-network with Blue Shield, Anthem, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Humana, and other major plans, and we check your coverage before the first visit.
Will I see the same physical therapist each visit?
Yes. You're matched with a licensed physical therapist for your evaluation and every follow-up visit on the same plan of care.
Where do you visit?
Our physical therapists visit homes within about a 20-minute drive of where they're based, across greater Los Angeles. The best way to check is to get started and enter your ZIP code.
How do I refer a patient?
Start a referral online or fax it to (415) 684-1567. We contact the patient, verify their coverage, and fax the plan of care and progress notes back to your office.
How can I work with HealthSpark?
Physical therapists can join our network as independents, practice owners can run their practice on our platform, and physicians and home health agencies can refer patients.
