Michael Brucker, DPT, CSCS
About Michael
I'm a physical therapist with 7 years of experience specializing in orthopedic/neuromusuclar rehabilitation, corrective exercises and posture, injury prevention, sport specific training, flexibility and mobility, weight loss/nutrition. I received a doctorate in physical therapy and minor in movement science from Saint Francis University (PA). During my free time I enjoy going to the beach or hiking with my dog, Oskar.
Michael's approach to care
I believe the most effective treatment approach takes every aspect of wellness into consideration including nutrition, psychological well-being and physical wellness. Actively listening to a patient's concerns and goals is crucial in building a strong and meaningful patient-therapist rapport. Keeping up with the latest research-based treatments, I am constantly striving to be of greater value to my patients. What I enjoy most as a PT is being able to influence my patients to take an active interest in their own health, and to improve their overall quality of life and longevity.
What to expect in your first session
During your first visit, which typically lasts 60 minutes, I will take the time to get to know you including your medical history, your daily routine, and the goals you have for your recovery. You'll go through a thorough evaluation that may include range-of-motion testing, strength assessments, and a discussion of your pain or limitations, all designed to build a treatment plan tailored specifically to you. Depending on your condition, your first session may also include hands-on treatment or gentle exercises so you can begin feeling better right away. I recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows easy access to the area being treated, and bringing any relevant medical records, imaging results, or a referral from your doctor. Most importantly, come with your questions as I am here to listen, explain every step of the process, and make sure you feel confident and supported from day one. I'm thrilled to be part of your recovery, and I can't wait to get started together!
