About Me

A physical therapist for over 20 years, I continue to feel very excited to help each patient regain his/her movement and return to whatever physical activities that person is passionate about.

I have a broad background in a variety of fields of practice, and I'm comfortable and effective at helping people move forward from where they are towards wherever they want to be. Whatever the barriers, we will tackle them together.

Approach to Care

I believe in empowering my patients to return to health or strive for improved performance. A teacher at heart, I make sure that you understand what is happening in your body and what you can do to help yourself heal. I address the whole person, and recognize the interplay between body and mind. I see myself as a coach, cheerleader and educator.

What to Expect in the First Session

Our first session will be a thorough Physical Therapy Evaluation that will last an hour. I will begin by asking you about the problem you're having and what your goals are. Then we will do a physical exam where I will check various measures depending upon your situation, including for example: your motion, strength, balance, coordination, and gait (how you walk or run) and function. If our appointment is in person I will also palpate the area in order to assess it. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move, and allows me to see the area that we are working on.
