Shaniece DeGazon, Doctor of Physical Therapy at HealthSpark

Shaniece DeGazon, DPT

About Shaniece

I’m a physical therapist with 8 years of experience within the inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, home care and acute rehab setting. I believe that my background is truly what sets me apart from other physical therapists as I enjoy treating patients throughout the continuum of care. I received my DPT degree from Seton Hall University. I believe in creating personalized treatment plans that fit each patient’s lifestyle and goals.

Shaniece's approach to care

I enjoy getting to know my patients on a 1:1 basis so, I understand the big picture of what is really limiting my patients from truly being the best version of themselves. I then create a customized home exercise program and workout plan so, that the patient can perform at their best function and regain their independence back. When necessary I like to combine therapeutic exercises with manual therapy techniques to reduce musculoskeletal limitations.

What to expect in your first session

Your first session will begin with a comprehensive evaluation where I’ll ask about your medical history, current symptoms and goals for physical therapy. I will then perform a physical assessment to understand your movement patterns, upper and lower body strength and functional limitations. Each session can range from 45 minutes to 1 hour in duration.
